I cannot believe we are now 5 days overdue with this little boy! We had a sonogram last Thursday (at 39 weeks, 6 days), and everything looked great. The sonogram estimated his weight at 7 pounds, 14 ounces then. We are scheduled to be induced tomorrow (unless we get bumped by other inductions) tomorrow . . . unless this kid decides to finally come on his own. I expect his birthday will be the 23rd.
He is so cozy in my belly that a minor car accident didn't disturb him. My mom is in town, and mom and I were stopped at a light yesterday, waiting to turn, when we were one of the middle cars of a 4-car fender bender. A car hit the back of the car behind me, which then hit me and caused me to hit the car in front of me! Crazy! The impact wasn't bad, since we were all stopped, and the damage was minimal. To be safe, we ventured over to the hospital to check on the baby. We spent 4.5 hours at the hospital, listening to his heartbeat, monitoring for contractions, and watching him on a sonogram. Everything is fine with the baby, and we got a cute shot of his face. Check out those chubby cheeks below!
Hopefully we'll finally meet this little guy tomorrow!

Those are some super cute chubby cheeks! I am excited about tomorrow! We will be praying for a fast and safe delivery and a healthy little boy!
