Catch up - Trip to Lake DeGray July 11-13

We went to Lake DeGray in Arkansas for a family reunion. We also held a mini birthday celebration with my family!

Our neighbor, Miles, planted this sign in our front yard. How sweet! His little girl, Audrey, is 1 1/2 and loves to play with Carly. They are great neighbors.

Carly loved the balloons. She popped several of them when she tried to eat them.

I love the expressions on her face! And I'm just laughing to keep my sentimental self from crying!

Post Swimming

Playing in the yard after an evening swim. I bought her an 18 month swimsuit today because the 12 month suits are just too small. Crazy.

I think her incisors are starting to come in. Yuck. She's been chewing on her fingers a ton today, and she keeps trying to 'chew' (BITE!) our our shoulders.

4th of July

Carly's teachers made 4th of July shirts for all the kids (infants on up to school age). For the babies, they personalized each with an appropriate saying.

Oh so appropriate.

We woke Carly up tonight and took her down the street to see the Addison fireworks. The fireworks show is nationally known, yet in the 3 years we've lived here (4 4th of Julys) we have never been to it. It was worth the short drive and dealing with a wiggly little girl!
Carly didn't really care about the fireworks, but she was fascinated by the two dogs sitting behind us.
This is one of the few times she was actually sitting still!

She's already back asleep. Poor child fell asleep at 7:30, was woken up at 9:15, then put back in bed at 10:30. Maybe she'll be so tired she'll sleep in and let us sleep in... One can dream.

I missed some June pictures of Carly. Our friends Jimmy and Shannon tied the knot on June 7. Carly had a blast at their reception! She danced by herself on the dance floor, then she played and played with the skirted tables.
