Lake LBJ

We went to Lake LBJ in late July with John's family.  We spent some time on the lake and relaxed a lot. 

My kids enjoyed the cabinets the most.

He had a lot of fun at a friend's birthday party at the spray park. 

One day after church, he just couldn't stay awake.  Church totally disrupts his normal nap routine! 

His sister loves him so much!  Most of the time.

Carly's Birthday Party

We celebrated Carly's 4th birthday with a swim party for friends and family.  A big crowd celebrated the day with us!

Tyler never made it into the pool, but he had a good time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. 

The princess cake was a huge hit with Carly.  She loved it! 

Carly's Birthday!

Carly is 4!  I can't believe our sweet little girl is already four years old.  Time truly flies! 

We celebrated her birthday with a fun breakfast - pancakes!  Of course, Carly did tell me that muffins would have been "more gooder", but she seemed satisifed with the pancakes.  I took cupcakes to her school in the afternoon to share with her friends.  After school, she opened presents at home, then we went to her favorite place - Chick Fil A - for dinner.  It was a great day! 

July Trip to Arkansas

The kids and I made a trip to Arkansas in mid-July to see family and attend my best friend's baby shower.  It was the first time I had flown with both kids, and to top it off I flew alone with both kids.  The trip actually went great.  Carly was a HUGE helper in the airport.  She pushed Tyler in the stroller while I pulled our bag with his car seat on top.  I wouldn't have made it without her help!

We first made a stop in Stuttgart to visit Meemaw and Granddaddy.  Carly is definitely her mother's daughter and had already learned where the candy drawer is... 

Carly loves to play cards right now - SkipBo and Crazy 8s are her favorites.  She played a few rounds with Uncle Nelson (aka Uncle HoHo). 

Pop and Tyler took a much needed nap.  Anyone notice the resemblance? 

Once we arrive in Little Rock, Tyler, found a fun place to play - under the table! 

He thought it was very fun to sit there and play.

Meanwhile, Carly found the toys in "her" room and was having a blast! 

We found some time for sprinkler fun in the backyard.

We also visited Pawpaw and Grandma Lorene during the visit, but no pictures.  It was a great trip to visit family!
