Carly Meets Brother

Nannie brought Carly to the hospital as quick as she could Thursday afternoon.  We stalled in Labor and Delivery until Carly got there.
I had bought Carly this Big Sister shirt last year and saved it for the special day.  She had also picked out the cute blue bear lovey to give to brother.
Carly made me laugh when she came into the room.  She was walking like a prissy little girl, chest out, excited about what she was to find!

She was hesitant about getting too close to me in the hospital bed, but I finally convinced her to sit with me in the wheelchair after we dropped Brother off in the nursery.
However, as soon as we got to our room, she wanted to know where Brother was.  So back to the nursery she went to keep an eye on him!

She wanted to make sure they took good care of him!
She still wasn't too sure about my hospital bed, but she finally climbed in with me.
Nannie and John took Carly to a Chick-fil-A dinner that night.  Poor thing did not want to leave her mommy and daddy at the hospital though.  She was very concerned about us!
Nannie and Pop brought Carly back on Friday afternoon.  She had to introduce Pop to Tyler!  She insisted on wearing her Big Sister shirt again.  She also wore it on Saturday!
Tyler had a present for Carly on Friday - this cute elephant.  Carly seemed to like it.

Once we got home, Carly got to sit even closer to Tyler.  She's gentle with him and seems to understand the rules fairly well - she can touch his head and legs, but not his face or fingers.

She loves to give him kisses!  Fortunately he doesn't mind having her in his personal space.

So far she's been a great big sister!
