Halloween 2010

We started our Halloween festivities with the fall festival at Carly's school.  Carly had a great time in her pink butterfly outfit. 

On Halloween, we finally bought and carved our pumpkins.  Carly helped Daddy scoop the guts and pick out patterns to carve.

I couldn't get Carly to stand still long enough to snap a good picture of her pink butterfly costume, but here's a back shot . . .

We trick-or-treated with our neighbors and some of their friends.  We had a crowd of 8 or 9 children in our group.  The kids had lots of fun running up to each house, and they collected some great loot.  Carly really got Halloween this year, but I was able to hide most of her candy.  She certainly got WAY more candy than any 3-year old needs!

Around the House in October

Tyler sleeps in our bathroom in Amy's old cradle.  It has worked well.  He is close enough but not too close, and his cries only wake me. 

We are big fans of the swaddle.  Tyler has slept very well from day 1, and I firmly believe the swaddle has a lot to do with it.

A short snooze (5 weeks)

I couldn't resist putting him in Carly's doll stroller...  Unfortunately he was already too big at 5 weeks to sit in it.  He wasn't too happy to be in there! 

Boo at the Zoo - Dallas Zoo

Amy and I took our monsters to the Dallas Zoo Halloween festival.  The girls all had fun, and Tyler slept through most of it.

Pumpkin Patch - Richardson

Now that Tyler is sleeping pretty well most nights, I decided it is time to do some fun things with Carly one day a week.  We started with a trip to the pumpkin patch with our friends Abbi and Jack.

We finally got out the Baby Einstein play mat for Tyler to play with.  He really likes it!

Dance Class

Carly is taking a dance class at her school this year, and she loves it!  Here is a video of a few things she has learned so far. . . . 

Pumpkin Patch - Grapevine

After the busy Saturday, Tyler needed some extra sleep.  He snoozed in my bed, all tucked in, for a while Sunday morning. 

We went to a pumpkin patch in Grapevine Sunday afternoon.  It was small but pretty nice. 

Tyler never woke up while we were there! 

We let Carly pick out a small pumpkin to take home.  She was so excited!
