Our little girl is 5 years old, and she is so excited!
We had a Hello Kitty pool party for her at our house. Her best friend from school, Addison, came, and so did her friend from down the street. Nannie and Pop, the Fikar family, and the Real family celebrated with us too! It was a fun day!
The most exciting part of being 5 is Carly will be going to kindergarten in the fall! She could not wait to turn 5 for that reason alone! This girl is ready for real school. I hope she loves it!!

We celebrated on her actual birthday with cupcakes at her school with her friends, then dinner at ChickFilA.
At five years old, Carly loves to talk, play dress up, color, and swim swim swim! She is 43 pounds and 43 inches tall (a perfect box, per the pediatrician. Ha.) She's not quite reading books, but she does a good job sounding out the words. She can be sassy to John and I (sigh), but I suppose this is just part of her age. We look forward to seeing what kindergarten has in store for her!
