The Pool is OPEN!

We heated the pool for a first swim of the season with the Fikars.  It took 15 degrees of heating to warm to an acceptable temperature, but it was worth it!  Tyler even joined in on the fun.

Easter 2011

We had a busy but fun Easter morning. 

We started bright and early to make the 8am church service.  The kiddos checked out their Easter baskets as soon as we returned from church. 

Once the baskets had been emptied, the egg hunt began! 

Carly loved hunting eggs.  She was running all around the yard, as fast as she could, to find eggs. 

My beautiful sweet girl.  I love many of our Easter pictures of her. 

Poor Tyler once again missed out on all of the fun while he was napping.  Once he awoke, I introduced him to his basket. 

My handsome little man! 

His loot included a bendable bunny, a tonka truck, and an empty pez dispenser. 

His favorite toy? 

The bendable bunny!  I couldn't get him to put it down, so this is the best picture I got of Carly and Tyler.

Pre Easter - Fun with Cousins

We traveled to Marion for Easter this year.  Three of the four families, plus the grandparents, were there for the Easter fun. 

As usual, the cousins found lots of ways to have fun.

The flower pickers gathered for a picture.  Alyssa, Julianna, Abbi, Evan, and Carly.  Tyler snoozed through this adventure at home with Daddy. 

After the flower hunting, the kids got out the sprinklers and had a blast! 

April Sunshine

First a picture of Tyler enjoying the sun on his excersaucer!  He loves to bounce! 

We spent a beautiful weekend in the yard, digging in the flower beds and planting flowers.

Tyler - 6 months

Tyler turned 6 months old on March 23.  I cannot believe he is already 6 months old! 

A few things I want to remember about him at 6 months . . .

He is sitting up pretty well, though he still topples over sometimes. 

Sleeps 10 to 12 hours at night, unless sick. He has had numerous ear infections this winter. 

No teeth yet, but he drools all the time.

He started rolling over actively a few weeks after his 6 month birthday.

He loves his big sister! He watches her every move and is easily amused by her.

He loves baby food.  By 6 months, he had tried all the one ingredient vegetables and fruits. 

At 6 months, he weighs 19 pounds (Carly weighed 19 pounds, 5 ounces) and is 26.5 inches long. He's still quite chunky!



Overall he continues to be a happy, content, giggly baby.  We are so blessed with happy babies!
