Spring Break - Part II

We enjoyed beautiful weather on my parent's porch while we were in Arkansas!
Tyler and Pop in Razorback red!  Woo pigs!

We took Tyler and Carly to Meriwether Park one evening.

This was Tyler's first swinging experience.

I think he liked it!  :-)

Carly loves the big rocket slide.  The slide has been at this park forever!

We also visited the zoo, as we usually do.  The Little Rock Zoo has a new penguin exhibit, plus we love all the normal stuff as well.

Like the carousel!

And the train (Pop and Carly in the first row).

Tyler practiced his monkey faces.

I think Carly's favorite part of the zoo, other than the carousel, is the kiddie playground.  She loves this place!

Carly also had fun "brooming" (aka sweeping) on Nannie and Pop's deck.

Carly also tried out the hula hoop.  For a 3.5 year old, I thought she did really well!

We had yet another wonderful, relaxing trip to Arkansas.  I'm so thankful to be able to make these trips home a few times a year.  My kids love the quality time with their grandparents and great grandparents, and so do I!

Spring Break 2011 - Part I

The kids and I drove to Little Rock for vacation for a few days.  We always go in late March, so it is almost like a spring break trip.

We visited Wye Mountain with my grandparents.

The daffodils were beautiful!

Carly had so much fun running all around in the daffodil field.  She was able to run around much more and much further away from me than usual, and she relished the freedom!

Tyler tried to eat the daffodils.

After we returned from Wye Mountain, we had a surprise visit from my brother and his family!  My mom was excited to have a picture with all her grandkids.

Madison (5 1/2), Carly (3 1/2), Tyler (almost 6 months), and Riley (3 1/2) with their Nannie!

My grandparents also enjoyed seeing all their Davis great grandchildren!

Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum is one of my favorite places to visit.  Even when it is crazy crowded, I think it is so beautiful and peaceful.

The spring flowers were beautiful when we went, and the kids had fun together!

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2011

We took Tyler to his first St. Patrick's Day parade on Greenville.  It was Carly's 4th trip.
He spent a lot of time hanging in his stroller.

I found cute green gear for the kids to wear.

It was crazy crowded due to beautiful weather, so Carly spent some time on John's shoulders to see the parade.

To expedite our walk to lunch, I let Carly and Tyler ride in the stroller.  It is definitely not a long term traveling solution, but it worked for our short walk.
