Carly and Tyler

This Little Brother . . .

is loved by his Big Sister.

She likes to hold him.

And she loves to smother him in kisses, as you can see in the first video.  She did get him to giggle at least!

Christmas with the Mayer family

We returned to Texas just in time to spend another Christmas with the Mayer family.  John's family all came up to Jeff and Lynette's new house.  They just moved to Keller, about 30 minutes away from us.  It is WONDERFUL to have family nearby!

Carly stayed in Arkansas with Nannie and Pop.  They kept her an extra week while we went to Whistler Canada on a trip with friends.  More to come on that.

Despite having his first cold over the holidays, Tyler was a happy camper.

Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandchildren in attendance (Amber, Sasha and Carly are missing)

Tyler received some more great toys (again, ask Carly - she loves them).

A few more days in Arkansas

Madison and Robert came to Stuttgart on the 26th.  We stayed in Stuttgart for a few more hours, then we headed to Nannie and Pop's house for more presents!

Madison and Carly had lots of fun together.

Tyler just observed the girls and the craziness.

Love my sweet boy!
Uncle Robert had lots of fun with Madison, Carly and Tyler

And we saw "Auntie" Jenny one day.

Christmas Day in Arkansas

On Christmas morning, everyone was awake before Carly.  Long before Carly.  We waited and waited and waited . . .

Tyler posed for the camera.  Finally Carly was awake.

We quickly showed her the present from Santa.  She was less than impressed because Santa didn't think to actually put the swing together.  She was tired and didn't understand that the green strap was the swing she had requested from Santa.  Two swings, actually.  One for Carly and one for Audrey.  This was exactly what Carly wanted.  Tyler received some new clothes from Santa.  Just what he needed!
So we moved on to the stockings.
And suddenly she got the whole Santa present thing.  She loved everything in her stocking.  Clothes for Big Baby, crayons like the ones at Nannie and Pop's house, an ornament,
new sunglasses to replace the ones that were broken.  Her favorite present of all?  Pink sparkly nail polish.  My goodness, my girl is girly!
Carly also helped Tyler open his stocking and presents.  Sippy cups for when he gets older, new toys, and an ornament.
He was excited.  Or stoic is more like it.
Carly admiring her Cinderella ornament.
After stockings, John put the swing together and let Carly swing inside.  She loved it!

Even poor Nannie was suckered in to swinging Carly.
Cousin Daniel with Tyler
Nannie and Pop had some wonderful gifts for Carly.  Barbies, a pretty necklace and bracelet, etc, puzzles, etc!
A new phone - actually a Blackberry - from Aunt Kay and Uncle Nelson.  They knew she LOVED to talk on the phone!

Tyler received some fun new toys as well.  Ask Carly.  She loves to play with his toys.
Carly had a lot of fun opening presents and finding the surprises inside.  It was so much fun to watch her!

Carly's big present from us was a neat doll house for her Barbies.  She really loves it!

Anyone think Tyler resembles his Pop?  I do!

We had a wonderful Christmas Day with the family.  I am so grateful to spend the holidays with our family!

Christmas Eve in Arkansas

We spent Christmas Eve in Stuttgart with my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins.  We attended the Christmas Eve service at church and enjoyed a fun day and evening with the family.

Uncle Ho Ho (aka Uncle Nelson, Carly, Nannie, Tyler, and Aunt Kay (Carly was infatuated with Aunt Kay).
Our first Christmas as a family of four.  Tyler was just ready to go to bed.
Us with my Mom and Dad.  I'm so glad we were able to spend the holidays with them!

I bought Carly a beautifully illustrated Twas the Night Before Christmas book for Christmas, so we unwrapped it Christmas Eve.  She thought it was pretty neat!

Time for the Bumbo!

Tyler likes his Bumbo!

Carly's School Christmas Party

I observed Carly's school Christmas party.  It was fun to watch!   They had a snowball fight (videos below) and a book exchange.  I'm so glad I was able to spend time with her at the school.
