Memorial Day Weekend Swimming Fun

It has been a hot weekend, but we've enjoyed lots of pool time. Carly remembered exactly what to do when we told her she could swim in the whole pool, not just the top step. She grabbed her tube and took off. She's even tried swimming with floaties, though she definitely prefers her tube. She loves swimming around the pool all by herself (Little Miss Independent)

Girly Girl

Carly is definitely a girly girl! She convinced me to try pigtails one morning for school. I am most certainly not a girly girl, and I struggle with doing her hair. However, I thought these pigtails turned out pretty great! Her hair is SOOOO long. We're going to cut a few inches off for summer time. It will make sunscreen application easier for me and for her teachers at school!

Carly loves to play dress up. Nannie found some great, cheap dresses at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago, so we bought 4. Carly likes to arrange them neatly on each square.

First Swim of 2010 - May 13

The weather has been warm lately, which means the swimming pool is up to a toasty 75 degrees!! Still pretty cold by adult standards, but Carly didn't seem to mind the cold too much. She was THRILLED when I asked if she wanted to go swimming.

She shivered a lot when she sat in the water, but she had lots of fun. I have a feeling we will have a hard time getting her out of the pool this summer!

Carly loves helping John clean the pool. She is pretty good at brushing the steps.
