Final April Pictures

Here are a couple more pictures from this past week. Now I'm all caught up!

After we went on family walk last night, Carly decided to put on my shoes AND socks!

She looked so funny!

Bluebonnets

A picture in the bluebonnets is a 'must have' if you live in Texas - at least some would think so. Unfortunately, it is hard to find bluebonnets anywhere other than the side of a busy highway.

Lucky me happened to notice a ton of bluebonnets in the park in our neighborhood!

Unfortunately Carly wasn't cooperating for pictures. I took about 60 pictures in the park today, and these are the best ones.

For some reason, she started folding her arms like this when she stands. She normally puts on a super grumpy face too. However, as soon as I tell her to stop being silly, she grins!

She looks like she's striking a model pose - or a senior year picture! My funny girl!

Abbi's Birthday Party

We went to Kansas City for Abbi's birthday, yet somehow I have no pictures of the birthday girl. I do have a couple of pictures of Carly and Evan having a great time!

Easter 2009

Happy Easter!

Amy, Eric, and AC came up to our house for Easter. The girls had WAY too much fun playing with toys and DVDs and jumping in the tub while we ate. They were wound up! It was a fun time.

My neighbor Miles put together a little Easter egg hunt for the girls the week after Easter. Since our hunt was right before dinner time, he stuffed the eggs with healthy snacks like grapes, teddy grahams, and carrots. Carly hated the carrots, but loved the other goodies.

On Good Friday, we joined several hundred folks at the Arboretum. It was way too busy for my tastes, and unfortunately the tulips had already bloomed. Oh well! We still enjoyed the pretty day.

Easter Egg Hunt in Oak Cliff - April 4

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt in Oak Cliff with Amy, Eric, AC, and their neighbors.

Love the Target Dollar Spot. These ears were a hit for quite some time. And only $1!

Carly got a few Easter eggs directly from the Easter bunny!

Before Arkansas - A Trip to Marion

Before we went to Little Rock, the three of us drove to Marion for the weekend.

The Lintons were there

The girls love riding in the wagons. Look at the bottom of the post for videos.

Carly and her Cousin Karla. Everyone in John's family says Carly looks a lot like Karla did as a baby.

Hugging on Daddy at our midpoint stop - Rudy's in Waco!
Wagon videos!

Visit to Heber Springs

We visited my great Aunt Ruth and great Uncle Joe (So Carly's great great aunt and uncle) while we were in Arkansas. It was a short, but fun visit. I'm so glad I got a few pictures of Carly with my aunt and uncle.

Carly loves wagons!

Spring Break in Little Rock - LR Zoo

Carly and I went to Little Rock for spring break - about 3 weeks ago! Well, my mom's spring break, and my vacation after busy season. A much needed vacation!

We took Carly to the Little Rock Zoo. It was another cold, damp, windy day, but despite the weather we had a great time. Since it was cold, we saw a lot of winter animals out and about. I don't think I've ever seen so many animals in one LR zoo visit!

Riding on Pop's shoulders

Carly's favorite part of the zoo? The slide at the playground, of course!

Playing with her Nannie.

St. Patrick's Day

We took Carly to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville Avenue. It was a cold, windy, damp day, so I didn't take many pictures.

Ready to go in my cute green attire.

Hm, what shall I hold on to? Ah, yes, Daddy's ears!

Carly was exhausted after all the festivities and lunch. Look at those tired eyes!

And no less than 2 minutes later, she was out.
