One Month Old!

Carly was 1 month old last Sunday! I can't believe one month has already passed. She's getting bigger (almost 11 pounds!!) and is starting to get some personality. I love watching her smile and listening to her coos

On her playmat. She seems to like it!! We just need to get batteries for the flashing star. Aubrey Cate loved, and still loves, the star, and we hope Carly does too.

Carly's First Party

Carly attended her first party last Saturday. We all went to John's friend Jimmy's surprise birthday party. Carly wasn't having a great day, but I'm glad we were able to go for a little while.

The Rest of our Arkansas Trip

We've been home from Arkansas for a week - but I'm just now getting around to uploading the rest of the pictures. We had a great time in Arkansas, and Carly was very good on the drive home. Yay!!!

Julie, Maddy (my niece), Carly and Lou. Maddy (2 years old) is so funny with Carly. She wants to hold her and says her name over and over. I wish I could have captured Maddy saying "Cousin Carrrrrrrrrly" on video. Its so funny and cute!

My Mom's coworkers at Pine Forest. Carly and I went out to see everyone on Wednesday. I've known most of these teachers for 20 years or more. They were all very excited to see sweet Carly.

First Trip to Arkansas

John is in Florida for training, so Carly and I headed to Arkansas for the week. Carly did great in the car. She slept most of the way and didn't cry too much - just enough to make her mom a nervous wreck. We made it though! I just hope the trip back goes well too.

We've seen lots of family in Little Rock and Texarkana.

I just realized I have no pictures of Carly with her Uncle Robert, Aunt Julie and cousin Maddy. We also haven't taken any pictures of Carly with her grandparents. We'll have to take some pictures before we leave tomorrow!

Visitors over the weekend

We had several visitors last weekend. Thanks for coming everyone!

Abbi and Randy came by Friday night.

We couldn't convince Randy to hold little Carly. He opted for a beer instead.

Linton Visit

The Linton family (Clark, Kathleen, Alyssa, and Julianna) came to visit this past weekend. We had a great time with them and appreciated all their help. Here a few pictures from the weekend.

I'm Two Weeks Old!

Wow, Carly is already 2 weeks old! We went to the pediatrician for a checkup yesterday. Carly now weighs 8 pounds 11 ounces! She's more alert every day (and sometimes at night too, unfortunately). She makes tons of cute faces and is generally a happy little girl! So far it seems like she got her mom and dad's easy going attitude. Whew!

Not the best picture, but I was trying to capture a smile. Difficult task with a 2 week old!

We've already ventured out a few times. We took her to Manny's, a popular Mexican restaurant in town, when she was 5 or 6 days old. We also went to Chuy's with the Cowans and another couple last weekend. She did great on both excursions!

Over the past 2 weeks, we've had several visitors. A few friends have stopped by, plus her other grandparents, Claude and Joannie, came for a few days. Her Aunt Kathleen (John's sister) and family will be here this weekend!
